Who is the center of attention?

People use their website to tell everyone all about their business.

Consider the following message:

  • We sell widgets and we're good at it.
  • Here's our mission statement. (Of course you want to read it.)
  • Look at our credentials. Aren't we great?

Successful web marketers turn that perspective inside-out. They obsess about who is visiting the site, what they want and why they want it. Then they give it to them.

People don't want to read about you. They want to read about what you can do for them.
